Cookie Policy (TTDSG)
Last Updated: October 30, 2026
1. Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how Lab Manager Pro uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and Service for users in the EU and Germany. It implements requirements under § 25 TTDSG / TDDDG and the ePrivacy framework, and should be read with our Privacy Policy and Impressum.
2. Legal Framework
- § 25 (1) TTDSG / TDDDG: Storing information on or accessing information in your terminal equipment generally requires consent.
- § 25 (2) TTDSG / TDDDG: Consent is not required if the storage/access is strictly necessary to provide a telemedium expressly requested by you (essential cookies).
- Where cookies process personal data, the GDPR also applies (see Privacy Policy).
3. Cookies We Use
We currently use only essential / strictly necessary cookies for authentication, security, and basic product functionality. We do not use advertising cookies.
- Sign-in (essential): Session and refresh cookies from Supabase Auth that keep you signed in
- Login redirect (essential): Short-lived cookie that returns you to the page you requested after sign-in
- Sidebar layout (essential): Remembers whether the app sidebar is expanded or collapsed
3.1 First-Party Cookieless Analytics
We use privacy-friendly Vercel Web Analytics. It operates without cookies, does not access terminal equipment storage, and does not track personal identities or cross-site behavior. Because no information is stored on or retrieved from your end-user device, no consent banner is required under § 25 TTDSG / TDDDG.
4. Duration
- Session cookies expire when you close the browser or sign out
- Persistent auth refresh tokens and UI preference cookies remain until expiry or deletion
- The login-redirect cookie is kept only briefly for that flow
5. Third-Party Cookies
Stripe-hosted checkout or Customer Portal pages may set cookies under Stripe's control when you use payment features. See Subprocessors. We do not load third-party advertising pixels on the Service.
6. Managing Cookies
Essential cookies do not require consent under § 25 (2) TTDSG / TDDDG. We show a first-visit cookie notice so you can review categories and open preferences at any time via the site footer ("Cookie preferences").
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking essential authentication cookies will prevent sign-in.
If we introduce analytics or marketing cookies later, those categories will stay off by default and will only be activated after a prior opt-in consent under § 25 (1) TTDSG / TDDDG. Scripts for those categories will not load without that consent.
